RNZAF Douglas DC-6 NZ3632 (formerly VH-BPG) at Changi, Singapore. QAM member, Albert Williams, advises that: "This photo was taken at Singapore whilst I was stationed there. It had a prop overspeed during flight and the main crankshaft broke and on landing at Changi the prop came off, hit the ground and shot under the wing and tore into the fuselage. I was one of the engineers that took the engine out and installed the new one when it arrived. The RAF did a temporary skin repair. We all went for the ride on the test flight, then the aircraft was flown to Hong Kong where HAECO did the complete airframe repair."Photo: Source Unknown
