Cessna 336 Skymaster VH-CMY was released to QAM in exchange for the fuselage of Cessna 402 VH-RJH (c/n 402-0023) which was converted by QAM to a rescue and fire fighting trainaid. It won't win any beauty contests but it is hoped that this rather agricultural contrivance will provide the Gold Coast Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting personnel with a trainaid that they can actually use without fearing that they are destroying an historic aircraft. The "aircraft" features an all terrain undercarriage which facilitates movement by one person. It is depicted after erection at Coolangatta on 30 December 2009. Photo: David Beazley
